Jokkers Pizza is a Fresh Concept. While visiting the Detroit Metro area recently I came across a Pizzeria That was like none I’ve ever experienced. It was called Jokker’s Pizza. Although I can’t recall exactly where I saw it I believe it was in the Royal Oak area, I do recall their very unique business concept. [...]
Michigan born and raised, I began my education in culinary arts and the foodservice industry during High School in 1991, joined the Pizza Industry starting as an associate with Little Caesars, after graduating I took the opportunity to work many food service jobs, before returning to the industry with Pizza Hut, the no.1 pizza franchise [...]
Many of you are going to notice that my blog is going to take on a slightly different appearence. I don’t have access to my personal computer for a couple of months. so my recent posts will not include as many pictures, or links as usual. and the graphic styling of the font and so on will be kind of dull and bland for now. In the meantime I will continue to update the blog and add content to it.
I just had the experience of my lifetime. over the past week I had an opperation to remove an abcess from my body it was so painfull and sucked ass. but it gave me time to think about my life and completely reevaluate my purpose. I have come to realize that people although they are relatively nice. when you are in the hospital and noboby comes to visit you then its time to reconsider who your friends really are. so I am out to meet new friends. ones who will call me and come visit when I am ever in the hospital or whatever. anyways. I am on heavy painkillrs so i am done posting for today. but i will be back soon and with a vengence. later yall.
I have recently discovered Itunes, let me say I think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know I am a late bloomer when it comes to the web . having just started blogging and now the I tunes thing. I have checked out other music players from Real audio and Microsoft and I truly believe I tunes Is where its at. I haven’t bought any songs yet and don’t know if I will but the Pod casts, and radio stations make it worth downloading. So in a nutshell I would say If you are looking for Internet radio, of pod casts check out Itunes.
I’m sure it was along time ago, but I don’t remember when a lot of Corporations began playing these mind games with the people of our country let alone the world. I use Craigslist quite frequently and overall I support this method of conducting business over purchasing through traditional stores and suppliers.
I use this site to promote various projects I under take, shopping for affordable housing/apartments, and used cars and trucks. However, recently I was going thru the listings and although I had been seeing this trend for a while.
Today, I finally got fed up. let me tell you I find there’s not much which is more annoying than reading ” used ford probe-$200 then when you click on the link only to discover the vehicle is actually selling for $2000. first of all nobody likes to be tricked into clicking on this type of listing, when we fall for these tricks once we then do not visit links like it again. This goes for those people who list items for $1, or $2 or the ever so clever $24 when the real price is $2400 If you really want to sell that vehicle. How about listing it honestly, instead of deceptively? while we are on the subject, To all those people who list a car as ” drives good, low miles, along with about 7 or 8 good things then drop a bombshell like “no engine, or trans issues. no one wants to buy your car for $600 only to have to spend $1000 to $3000 to put a new engine or trans in it. If they were going to do that they would likely buy a better car for say 1600 to 3600.
This subject is something that absolutely ticks me off to no end. Why do corporations feel they have to “trick” people into buying their “crap” for example why do stores put sales like buy one get one free why don’t they say (I’m gauging you so bad that I can afford to sell you two of these for the price of one and still make money) they should then cut the price all the time.
To all those stores who are offering to pay your sales tax and interest for 12 months, and the ones who offer no payments for 4 years. Stop it. these are merely tactics to trick you into buying shit you don’t have enough money for and shit 90% of you don’t need or even want. I can go on like this all day, but think about this unless your one of those “me, me, me people(no offense) “if you need to finance something like furniture, appliances, or used cars, then you’ll end up paying more for the item than it actually is worth and in the case of furniture chances are by the time you get around to paying off one couch (in 5 years) you probably won’t like it and then start the process all over again.
Share with me some of you’re experiences with corporate mind control, more commonly known as advertising
PC Polling is what I call answering political polls with a politically correct slant. Particularly when the questions are about issues regarding race and gender. Both subjects are major components of the 2008 Democratic nomination process and probably major components of the general election. .
I often wonder if companies who write, administer, and then publish the results of these types of polls, have thought of this factor when tabulating the results of such poll. I recently heard of a pool taken in West Virginia regarding the Democratic Primary. When a poll asks a question to find out if voters are picking one candidate over another based on race or gender. How many of us seriously believe all the people being polled are answering honestly, instead of with a politically correct slant.
Now, I don’t live in the fantasy that there will ever be a way to get people to answer these polls without any slant. Just as pollsters can ask questions that draw a particular response. I also believe they can ask questions that do not include these hot button issues. For example if you ask the question “Are you voting for Barack Obama, because he is Black?” they should simply ask “Why are you voting for Barack Obama?” and instead of asking “Are you voting for Hillary Clinton, because she is a woman?” they should ask “Way are you voting for Hillary Clinton?” True you will get different response, but maybe you’ll get an honest response.
I received a call this morning regarding Attitude. Which prompted this Rant the person on the other end of the line was talking about the attitude of someone they work with which got me thinking. Isn’t it kind of superficial to put forth a positive attitude when you are having a bad day, or is it better to be honest with one another? Well, I for one have learned through trial and error that most people don’t want to know your true feelings, the long for that superficial positive attitude. Because many people today (in my opinion) cannot deal with the reality that surrounds them. Hey, guess what sometimes people naturally have a negative attitude because they are unhappy with something. At which point we should reassure them that everything WILL be alright. and cheer them up nobody cheers anybody up anymore, anyway I fully understand how other people can be affected by constant negative attitude and since I don’t know too many people I will have to cheer my self up.
In conclusion attitude is affected by outside forces and when those forces are mostly inline instead of out then it will be positive, however if those forces are more out of line than in then it will be negative.
So lets help people get these forces in line so that the attitude of the planet changes to positive
We all know how confusing and frustrating it can be to pick a candidate. For some of us we just “tow the party line.” For example many of us may not be aware of who is still running for the presidency. Now many people would say that voting for anyone other than the big three candidates would be “wasting your vote” but is this really true. I believe it may be time for people to vote whoever they see fit and not be made to feel guilty for voting for someone other than those three.
You hear so much from various news networks, newspapers, magazine, and dare I say it celebrities. How anyone can look to Tom Hanks, and Rosie O’Donnell I’ll never know, but If you want more info than that. Check out these sites I’ve found.
Have you ever been in the Supermarket or Department store? And you only have one item to purchase so you get in that lane labeled “12 Items or Less” only to discover that the person in front of you has more than 12 items in fact not just one or two more but they have like 20 items. This person is highly annoying.
How about that guy at your job who spends all his time on the good old cell phone, who’s he possibly talking to all that time. One of the most annoying things in the world is, having to listen to seven different separate noises all day because he has to be able to know whether it is a text, picture message, or which number his mom is calling from through out the day. And what’s with those people who won’t put the phone down, Even when they are driving. Why don’t they spring Bluetooth, or another hands free device?
These are just a couple of examples of people who annoy me.
A couple of recent events have prompted this post.
Global Warming
Rising oil prices
Food crisis
Global Warming-
I don’t quite understand the whole “Global Warming” issue. I’ve scoured the web and as with most issues there are countless websites on this subject. As you may have already discovered for yourself there are just as many sites saying that this climate change IS happening, as there are saying it is not. Here are a few sources which I found interesting on this subject.
The first offers some facts from a Canadian Scientist. Is he right? I don’t know but it is interesting never the less.
The next is an explanation from what most people believe to be a reputable source for information on nature, science, and culture.
The third is an intriguing response to the widely accepted movie “An Inconvenient Truth” It offers a different perspective.
I am not much of a conspirator, but I still somehow believe this whole issue is going to somehow end up costing me more money than it already has.
As many of us know the price of oil has been reaching record breaking levels nearly every day. However how many of us actually know and understand why? I for one did not so I did some digging around on the subject. And rather than attempt to summarize it for you. I’ll simply link to relevant sources followed with how this issue has impacted in my life.
Let’s try this source. They have some interesting information.
After several hours of searching the internet, I couldn’t find any compelling information other than the sources listed above for the increase in oil prices. I am sure there are many “conspiracy theories” regarding this issue. But at this point I will turn the task over to you. Can you find any links or documents that prove that oil supply levels are in jeopardy of running dry?
If so please let me know.
Food Crisis-
Another issue facing myself, the country, and the world is the rising cost of food. I am not talking about the local fast food hamburger, though that is affected. I am referring to the cost of many of the worlds staple foods such as rice, wheat, corn, dairy, and so on.
The following is my understanding of the food crisis as it exists today. Plainly put, I believe that there is something inherently wrong with the producing of food as an alternative fuel when so many people in the world still go hungry. I also feel that it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure that in an effort to reverse the effects on global warming, and solve our dependence on oil. We don’t forget that many of our own citizens as well as our worldwide counterparts are not benefiting from it, but are experiencing the negative effects of it.
